Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Chrome Remote Desktop to access systems on my work machine when I am away from the office. There will be times when I need to retrieve information when I am office site. So I will log in via Chrome Remote Desktop. Also use it to remote into a window machine from my Macintosh computer.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Access files on a network that I might not be physically connected to.
Help someone remotely gain access to my machine.
Access my companies sever.

Cons

I would like a two factor authentication for using Chrome Remote Desktop.

Return on Investment

The Application being free. Allows for saving money in our organization.

Usability

IT being built into the Browser. Creates little friction for the User to use the application.

Alternatives Considered

TeamViewer

I would say it Chrome is good for a person to gain access to their machine. Were as TeamViewer is good for IT team to access a Users machine.

If you don't want to have to deal with creating new login credentials for your users. Or have Users that are bad at managing their login information. This is great, if you have strict rules for what type of applications can b run on your work machines.
