Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Aironet 2800 Series Access Points

The Cisco Aironet [2800 Series] Access Points are deployed across the whole school district, in approximately 70 sites. This solution has allowed staff and students to connect to the district network and to the internet with district-issued devices along with any personal device they happen to bring to work with them.

  • They have allowed students to use laptops and iPads to complete class assignments.
  • They have helped improve communication between individuals. An example is a technician in a building needing to communicate by their phone to another individual in another building and this is done over the wireless since there is no cell phone service in parts of most buildings.
  • Have been good for employees to get emails or do work in the field away from their home building.
The Cisco Aironet 2800 Series Access Points have been great for getting individuals on the network to do work or for instructing a classroom full of students. I have also seen elementary school students perform state assessment testing on their iPads in multiple classrooms. These access points have been great for assisting teachers in teaching younger students on their classroom projects.
When it comes to deploying the Cisco Aironet 2800 Series Access Points in locations around the school district it has become easier as you get used to putting 4 screws in the mounting plate to the bracket and then slide the access point onto the bracket.

A Cisco Aironet [2800 Series] Access Point is an excellent choice for a classroom setting for students to access school resources. They are also very good at getting coverage in auditoriums and gymnasiums for individuals to get connected to a guest network. They are also very aesthetic with the walls and ceilings.
