Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers

We deploy Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers to couple of customers helping them with a lot of good solutions provided from this product. It has a lot of features and good options to help and configure your wireless environment.
It's also easy to configure and set up access points, I think it has great potential even if you want to configure it using the CLI.

Pros

  • SSIDs security features
  • APs easy to deploy and configure
  • Tags helps with deployment and config
  • Easy licensing

Cons

  • Maybe an easiest dashboard should be good
  • Customers are happy
  • Not a lot of problems happening
It helps with upgrades, managements and troubleshooting all in one point
Works well, is not too easy to configure but if you follows couple of guidelines and recommendation it'll works well and you'll forget about it

Well suited in medium/large environments, I would not recommend it in campus environments but in medium environments yes, also in warehouse of big dimensions I'd recommend it.
