Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers
Our use case is we connect all our apps throughout the system to the wireless controllers. We have about six of them in our district throughout the southeast.
Pros
- Right now with the apps we have by upgrading to these, WLC may have gave us better control and troubleshooting issues with AP issues that we have.
Cons
- Right now, we only had it for six months. I don't see any improvements as of today.
- It have not had any negative output so far. We're going to knock on wood that stays that way. Input wise, it's been great. We haven't had any issues with it since I started about six months ago.
Just the aps because they're just a controller. That's the only thing connect to it. But we are pretty much all Cisco shop. Because we able to, any upgrades that we need to the aps, we are able to put it on the WLC and it pushes out to all our EPS for us.
From a wireless standpoint? Just any, well, we have the 9300 switches from Cisco. We also just went to the new firewalls that Cisco just came out. I forget the product name right now. So I like the wireless controller from a ease access or be able to configure better than the other ones.
