Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use the Cisco Webex Desk Pro as my personal collaboration device at home. Desk Pro allows me to seamlessly access internal and external meetings on major web conferencing platforms. Working remotely has never been so fun and inclusive, even though I'm remote, I feel like I'm in person with my teammates. The Desk Pro allows me to use the device's screen as a second monitor for my laptop, and at the same time recharges the battery via a USB-C cable

It is a good fit for hybrid working or a private booth rooms it has everything needed for voice and video communications through Webex Cloud. Some points need an improvement like connect other peripherals such as keyboard and mouse to work along computer, less cable is better. The native integration with Microsoft Teams Rooms is perfect too.

Hybrid Work Implementation Progress

After Covid-19, we need to move the team towards a hybrid working model. In the beginning we realized that regular laptops was no good enough to keep our focus on the goals during the meetings. So the we acquired dedicated devices for video conferencing with Webex products. The first impact was impressive, the device allow us to better be inclusive in the meetings as if we were at the office.

Webex Products has an open interoperability with others meetings platforms such as zoom, google and microsoft. It's easy to use and has an intuitive controls for any user get familiar within minutes of use. Other vendors only focus in one platform, restricting us to participate third-party meetings. That was our choice for a hybrid vendor.

The device it self is incredible, but not allowing us to plug a computer devices such as mouse & keyboard direct in USB ports is a penalty. We'd like to bring up the laptop, open it, and start working.
