Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)

It's used as the network access control service, basically providing the Radius capabilities as well as stack for the logging. So we are tracking who is doing what on the network equipment with Cisco ISE, as well as we are allowing access based on this policy to the company assets.

Pros

  • It's very flexible when it comes to the policy. You can do a lot of very granular controls and put a lot of details into the policy. So I think this is the power of this product in particular.

Cons

  • I think in general the product became very complex and sometimes it's hard to navigate around the different, let's say modules. So I don't know if you can really fix it to be honest. But indeed, it's becoming more and more complex to manage and navigate the platform.
  • It make us more compliant
