Overall Satisfaction with Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series
We use Cisco 8845 (video) and Cisco 8851 (non video) phones across the enterprise for all departments, for various departments, standardized for the Cisco 8800 Series phones.
Pros
- Cisco 8845 Video phones are very helpful for interactive one-to-one calls, without needing a video bridge for video calls.
- Cisco 8851 phones have USB port and can be used to connect the USB headsets and easy for use.
- Proximity on Cisco 8800 series phones are a useful feature to pair smartphones via Bluetooth and answer smartphone calls via Cisco phones and connected headset.
Cons
- Cisco 8800 series phones are plagued with a clicking sound issue and almost makes phone unusable, hope this is addressed.
- Have all in one firmware for registration to Cisco CUCM as well as Third Party Call Control such as Cisco Webex Calling, Ring Central, Genesys.
- Option for end user to add custom wallpaper easily.
- These phones improve user and team interaction with video.
- Helps reduce cost for headset with support for USB headsets which may be used for laptop as well as these Cisco phone.
- Have long life span, less than 5% go bad/faulty over a period of 5 years, so reduces cost to procure/restock spares.
8800 series phones provide better interface with video & usb port functionality and support expressway registration for VPN-less connection.
