Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MR Series

We use Cisco Meraki MR Series access points across our school district for all wireless access. It gives us end to end wireless connectivity for all our district needs.

Pros

  • Ease of use- The platform is effortless to configure and manage.
  • It is very scalable, easy to add more to the system.
  • Cloud-based, so there is no need for an onsite controller.

Cons

  • Not as robust in the configuration as some other providers
  • Logs are not as detailed as they could be
  • Sometimes need support to help troubleshoot issues because of lack of logs.
  • Easy of management has a positive impact
  • Cloud-based keeps costs lower.
  • Aruba Networks Wireless LAN (WLAN)
As far as ease of use Cisco Meraki MR Series is an easy choice, it does not have the granular configuration that Aruba has, however.
Cisco Meraki MR Series support is usually quick to respond and the engineers I have dealt with have been knowledgable.
