Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki Wireless Access Point

Meraki is being used across our entire organization, which includes offices from the West Coast to the East Coast. We use it to manage our domain and guest access. It is scalable and easy to use.

Pros

  • APs are easy to configure and setup.
  • Visibility across the entire network is easy to obtain via the dashboard.
  • Enabling security features, via Air Marshall and Firewall portals is easy and intuitive.

Cons

  • Provide more options for 2FA, particularly for administrator accounts.
  • The fact that it is cloud-based and scalable suits us since we have small offices that come and go based upon projects.
  • We have other Cisco products/services so it plays well with others like Umbrella.
Meraki was selected several years ago and I was not involved in the selection process.

I am focused on the security aspects of Meraki, so it has been well-suited in our environment. We are also a US-based firm, so we do not have any technical issues due to overseas deployment.

Cisco Meraki Wireless Access Point Support

From a security perspective, it is a great product. It offers visibility, control, and scalability.
