Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Nexus

we use Cisco Nexus 9000 series switches for our data center and set up a private cloud for our customers.
  • easy to manage
  • reliable
  • effective
  • so far we did not encounter much issues
  • our partner gave a good corporate discount so ROI was positive
Huawei provided good discounts but other teams had encountered issues with their products after deployment so we decided to stick to cisco

the connection is ok and we have used it for years without [many] issues. it is suitable for our data center and we use it to connect our servers to set up a private cloud

2 - They are network engineers and have network knowledge to operate the switches. They also work with the vendors to do routine maintenance and updates

Yes - We setup the switches as a base setup and then slowly added more switches as we scale up to support more users
Change management was minimal - The engineers had to be trained on how to manage the switches. Subsequently there was no further change management required

Yes we purchased premium support. Because our switches are used for operations and there is SLA involved so we needed prompt support if necessary
We did some VAPT scans and there were some findings related to their products. We checked with them and they took time to remote in to check

Using Cisco Nexus

It did not give much problems since go-live and our engineers only need to do routine maintenance and patches
