Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Secure Endpoint

In our organization, we use Cisco Secure Endpoint to keep all our devices safe from cyber threats. It's like a security guard that watches over our computers, laptops, and mobile devices, making sure they are protected from things like malware and ransomware. As far as the business problems which are addressed by Cisco Secure Endpoint, these include: threat detection and response, endpoint security, incident response, visibility and control, and integration and automation with our other security tools. We've rolled it out across all Windows devices in the company and it keeps an eye on things 24/7, providing real-time updates and threat intelligence.

Pros

  • machine learning with behavioral analysis
  • provides detailed endpoint visibility.
  • integration with other Cisco security products
  • comprehensive endpoint security

Cons

  • Simplified Management Interface
  • Enhanced Machine Learning Models
  • Behavioral Analytics Refinement
  • Compliance adherence
  • Improved threat detection and response
  • Improved operational efficiency.
No complaints as to overall usability of the product; most everything is pretty self-explanatory. The interface is relatively user-friendly and intuitive, which makes it easier for IT staff to manage and monitor endpoints. It offers a wide range of features and tools that are useful for detecting and responding to threats. It integrates well with other security tools and systems, which enhances its overall functionality and Cisco provides good documentation and support, which helps users get the most out of the product.
I've never had to contact support for this product.
  • SecureX
  • Firepower
  • Duo
  • Umbrella
Cisco Secure Endpoint is easier to deploy and use versus Trend Micro Deep Security. The interface is less intuitive (possibly subjective) when compared to Cisco Secure Endpoint, which required more training for support staff. Also the integration is not as good with Trend. While it integrates well with certain platforms, it does not offer the same level of seamless integration within a unified security ecosystem like Cisco. However, this may not be as much of a concern if you are not primarily a Cisco shop as we are.

Do you think Cisco Secure Endpoint delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Secure Endpoint's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Secure Endpoint live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Secure Endpoint go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Secure Endpoint again?

Yes

Cisco Secure Endpoint has comprehensive protection across different operating systems and device types. Its scalability and centralized management capabilities make it a good fit for companies with large deployments. It's also helpful for threat hunting and rapid incident response by our security teams. It would be less appropriate in environments with limited resources (older, low compute, etc). It's also not the most budge friendly option available.

Cisco Security

It keeps information safe, prevents business disruptions, builds trust with customers helps avoid legal trouble, protects against scams and fraud, and helps to support growth and innovation. Driving forces behind investments include preventing cyber attacks/data breaches, protecting customer and company information, achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance, keeping customer trust and staying ahead of evolving threats.
End-to-end security solutions, advanced threat intelligence, scalability, proven reputation, ease of management, and good support
Secure Endpoint was chosen due to it's strong threat detection and response capabilities, endpoint visibility/control, automated threat containment, integration with Cisco security ecosystem, ease of deployment, and effectiveness against malware/ransomware.
It will still be a constant battle between attackers and defenders. AI will enable faster threat detection and response, will be able to help predict potential threats, and enable more automated incident response.
Not currently, but it is on our MDR vendor's roadmap.
