Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Secure Firewall

Cisco Secure Firewall is indispensable in maintaining content filtering as required by regulation and securing our environment from malicious actors. Without Cisco Secure Firewall we would be completely vulnerable to anyone with malicious intent and wouldn't even have the visibility to know it was happening.

Cons

  • Admin portal could be more responsive in some areas
  • Incalculable positive impact in tracking and remediating security risks
  • Providing content filtering to users as required by law
  • Drawback is that we can't live without it
Little to no performance hit is detected by users when Cisco Secure Firewall is implemented. We have users that are very vocal and will definitely let us know if there is an issue affecting performance. We have had no issues with implementing and day to day use of Cisco Secure Firewall. Users understand the system and know how to work with the effects of it.
Cisco support has been responsive and helpful whenever we have had support needs. This includes configuration, deployment, as well as day to day questions and issues that come up. Support agents are knowledgeable, helpful, and have good followup skills.
Having a single solution that provides access to all the features such as VPN, log management, and analytics is a massive boon. Centralizing these allowed us to simplify our stack and reduce potential conflicts that result from running too many platforms. We have made extensive use of all these features in our day to day running of the org.
Feature parity is there, and performance is just as good if not better.

Cisco Secure Firewall is suited to nearly any situation where security, visibility, and safety is important to the organization. I can't imagine any scenario where that would not be the case. I definitely recommend this solution to any organization that is considering it.
