Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Secure Firewall

We use the FTD for establishing a hub and spoke VPN site-to-site architecture. The problem that we will to address is the separation of security data and the full control of access in an isolated distributed environment. The product is used as the anchor edge of the distributed nodes and establishing system specific VPN tunnels.

  • licensing of devices not accessing the internet
  • accreditation can be achieved

  • easy to extend our infrastructure
no experience, due to the use
Whenever I open a ticket the response was immediate.
We use VPN as I previously described
It's more reliable and the level of Cisco support can not be compared.

Cisco Secure Firewall is well suited for environments that have access to the internet and a stable connectivity is considered on place. However, in isolated environments the firewall requires additional administrative efforts and most of its characteristics can not be leveraged. A method for updating the signatures of snort and the intelligence of the firewall using an out of band channel will be useful.
