Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Secure Firewall

In my organization we are using Cisco Secure Firewall's products in our network infrastructure for secure or environments secure or network, for example.

Pros

  • Scalability, flexibility, and yes, use of this product is very useful for the administrators.

Cons

  • I have one argument, failover scenario. It's not quite easy. Failover scenario of firewalls. It's sometimes not quite easy to know the issue. But if we open a tech case, a technical case to Cisco, Cisco will help us, it's a little bit con, but we are happy with this product.
  • Positive impact. Cisco is a big player in IT environment. It is future stuff, everything, what you learn today, maybe something can be tomorrow. And yes, it's quite important to learn the new stuff every day. And yes, that's it. Yes, I'm happy with Cisco.
We are using Checkpoint Firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls and Fortinet. That's all the three vendors which we were administrate in our team also. Checkpoint and for, they're similar, they're the same, but they are speaking their own language and you have to prepare for certificate, for example, in Cisco for other vendors. And I think the technical stuff is the same, but every vendor has, we call it in Germany, we will prepare his own soup. I don't know. You know the idiom, every vendor has their own receipt for solving a problem. And this is quite interesting to learn itself. For example.
