Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Secure Firewall

Cisco Secure Firewall is an integral part of our security landscape. With the implementation of FMC/FTD we have seen a dramatic decrease in firewall related tickets and an exponential increase in blocked attack attempts to our systems. Overall the new firewall architecture has enhanced our day to day operations and security.

  • Integration with CES
  • Integration with DUO
  • Migration tool tends to fail and requires special access rights to work properly
  • FMC is a must have for multiple devices management
  • Malware and threat defense are a must have as well
We have been able to deploy and utilize advanced features with no impact on performance. Sizing your firewall model to your environment is key and we often choose to over estimate our needs to allow for utilization of new features in future.
These units have simplified our firewall environment management. We have been able to onboard additional staff to aid in maintenance and operations which has divided workloads and give. Redundancy to our operations and management.
We utilize. ON, Log management, backups, threat defense and malware protection in our firewalls. We can’t imagine how we have operated in the past without them.
We utilize these two products together to provide enhanced user experience and security.

We recently deployed 2 new FTD units in our environment to replace older ASA models. The migration was complex but simple at the same time. We ran into minor issues that TAC was able to assist in overcoming easily. We are very pleased with the deployment and upgraded products.
