Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Secure Firewall
The most important thing is the malware detection and fret detection and how you see how the users connect through the network.
Pros
- Well, I think it's good. You get a good visibility in the network, especially when you have a lot of firewalls. If you have hundreds of them, then you have a very good point to see in one single place with the FMC as a management tool. It's very good with that product.
Cons
- I think there are classification for layer seven. They need to be more improved. There are other vendors that are a little bit better on that part. I know Cisco have a small downside between some years, but now they're on the upside again, but they need to check how do they do it again and the price should be ... Yeah, measure that.
- I think especially the smaller devices, when you have like a hundred of them, the price, the price. You need to do something about the price.
I have used from other vendors like Palo Alto, Fortinet, Ubiquiti. This product is the whole thing. I mean, when you're buying a product from Cisco, you're buying a support function, you buy a whole case for products. And with all that other products Cisco have, like the SNR, the ice that can collaborate with this product, then it's very, very strong. And that's something that others don't have.
