Overall Satisfaction with Cohesity DataProtect

Cohesity is used by our internal IT department for backup and restore. It has been used mostly for backups using ESXi. MSSQL and Exchange will also be backed up with Cohesity. You can create BackUp groups and link them to vCenter Folders. As soon as you create a VM in this folder it will be automatically backup.

Also SQL Backup is easy to set up and once you know how the restore is also easy.

  • Little issue that can't be solved yet.
  • Some problems with SQL restore.

  • On a disaster recovery scenario you can restore a lot very fast.
I was not involved in that project but we had Actifio before.

You can restore VMs very fast so your business is online in less than one hour. It's also possible to search your backup files and restore only that file that you need within seconds. I think Cohesity can be used in most of the business. You are able to back up a lot of products.

Cohesity DataProtect Support

The support is fast but sometime it takes long for a fix. If something important doesn't work they will help you as good as they can. The support team usually are very fit in finding a solution.
