Concur Travel and Expense is utilized across the entire organization to coordinate and purchase travel-related items and expense reports. It streamlines the travel process with a self-service model and stored information that speeds up the process. It also allows for standardized expense reporting processes that capture appropriate accounting categories.

Most of the integrations are at a back-office level and not apparent to the average user. From a user standpoint, the integrations are minimal, but we are able to accomplish the needed tasks within Concur Travel and Expense. The only remaining integrations involve Exchange/Outlook integrations through email notifications and calendar invites to keep track of travel dates.
Our organization has over time moved from a very labor intensive and more expensive administrator-based booking model. Traditionally, a user would have to contact an admin or even make a phone-call-based travel booking, but now we are able to work within a self-service model, even avoiding an assisting agent. Expense reports have also evolved greatly from a spreadsheet-driven manual process that was riddled with errors into the Concur Travel and Expense system that automates much of the manual processes that existed in the past.
Concur Travel and Expense has improved to a great extent the management of business travel and expenses through the automation of manual tasks and the implementation of its self-service model. Although most users don't enjoy booking travel or submitting expense reports, Concur Travel and Expense certainly makes the entire process less painful for most users in that the process is quick and efficient!
