Great for multi-person trips.

Within the past year, Concur was provided as a company means to book travel for business related trips. Previously there was a personal scramble across the popular travel sites to find the best rate. A personal credit card was often used and then there was the typical reimbursement process. Concur allowed us to easily consolidate this process, as well as better coordinate travel on trips with multiple coworkers.

As a general user, I am unaware if we had a direct integration with our ERP system or if we simply provided company accounts for the employees in which to book. I will note that the experience as an employee was seamless, without a lot of hassle about budget limits or other barriers. I was able to submit my trip request, and have it approved and paid for immediately. I was given a receipt that I could use upon check-in if there were any complications.

The "shared" or multiple co-worker booking option was particularly innovative and helpful. Previously there was a large scramble between three or four people when booking the trip to make sure that everybody was on the same flight at the same time. With Concur, one person was able to add all passengers, include their passport/TSA numbers as appropriate, and ensure everybody was on the flight together. It also allowed for easy booking of multiple hotel rooms.

Concur benefited our administration team by eliminating a lot of the time and effort they had to spend booking flights and hotels. They simply viewed the request and were to able to approve/deny/clarify the issue. No more checking back and forth for appropriate times or dealing with special meal issues.
