Overall Satisfaction with Conductor Searchlight

Usability

InsightStream is a very cool feature that is great for high-level insights. Conductor can be a bit jargon-heavy/confusing in terms of the names of the different tools and how to use them, but it's very comprehensive and you can visualize the data really well. Once you learn how to use the tool, it's pretty intuitive.

The team is wonderful to work with and very accommodating.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I work at an agency, so I use Conductor for some of the clients that I work on. We use it for our SEO programs, and it not used for every client.

Great visualization of content and keyword results
Many different ways to view data
Great tool for content mapping and understanding the audience

Cons

It would be great if Conductor had a tool where we can see all ranking keywords for a page, even for keywords that are not being tracked. A quick and easy way to get a overarching sense of how a page is performing.
It can be tricky to upload keywords, delete keywords, etc. A quick and easy way to add keywords that does not require as much work in spreadsheets to bulk upload.
As a whole, the tool has a lot of moving pieces and different components. It can be tricky to understand what each component does at first.

Return on Investment

Conductor has allowed us to hone in on certain keywords that have high opportunity against competitors.
Reporting is easier with the visual nature of Conductor.
It is easy to compare competitor performance and understand how we can get ahead.

Conductor is great tool that visualizes data. It's great for client reporting and it splices the data in many different ways. It does a really good job of pulling in competitors and making comparisons.

Hi Erica, Thank you for sharing your experience. It is great to hear that you've been able to successfully use our data via the different visualizations and I hope this has made your job easier when working with your clients. Regarding some of your challenges, I think we have some solutions in place that might help. For more detail, reach out to your CSM or to me directly. - You can plug pages into Audience Intent Explorer and we will display where your page ranks for the suggested keywords, regardless of whether or not you track them, and you can add that report to a Workspace. - Editing configurations has also got some recent updates that you may like. You can now edit an individual keyword's settings without going directly to Settings by clicking on the (...) icon in a keyword table. When in Settings, you can also quickly add searches en mass without going to Keyword Bulk Update by using the Searches tab.
