Overall Satisfaction with Conductor Searchlight
Conductor is used by the content team and our SEO/PPC specialist to manage several thousand keywords and pages. It helps notify us of potential issues on our website, helps us identify content gaps for keywords we would like to be ranked for, and track movements in our ranked keywords in an easily digestible manner.
- Presenting suggestions on how to better our ranking for keywords in an easily executable and digestible fashion
- Email subscription reports allow us to see on a high level how we are performing with our SEO strategy and notifys us of important movements in priority keywords
- They provide fantastic training to our employees to educate us on how best to use the tool and best practices in managing SEO
- Track competitors SEO changes and how it is influencing our keywords
- I have no suggestions for improvements, it's a great platform
- We have definitely spent much less time trying to extract reports from Conductor than we did with our previous tool. Setup a report once, add the subscribers, and sit back and get meaningful insights and important KPIs sent to your inbox.
- We have been able to identify content gaps and areas of our website that needed improvements, which has increased our SEO effectiveness.
- Again, the insight stream is a great feature. I often can pull insights from here to share with our VP on how our SEO is performing and cool notes like when we are placed in answer boxes.
Conductor's data is as in-depth as your team could ever require, with the ability to build high-level reports with the ability to drill in and dig into the underlying data and issues. My favorite feature is the insight stream which aggregates data and trends into a useful stream of talking points regarding your keywords, groups, and competitors. Each insight is also linked to underlying reports which allows you to make the insights actionable instead of just a list of facts.
Our content team is aware of Conductor and it allows them to be more strategic in using keywords in content and what keywords to use. We aren't always collaborating as effectively as we should, but this is in no way due to the setup of Conductor, but an internal issue.
We were using BrightEdge prior to Conductor and we switched for 3 main reasons:
1. The "campaigns" in BrightEdge used to guide you to make website changes always felt large and insurmountable, whereas Conductor is able to feed you suggestions in more bite-size pieces
2. Conductor has a great site audit tool built in and we can do more frequent audits
3. Conductor has several channels in which you can engage with their support team so we always feel like we have someone there to help guide us through the SEO maze
