It's being used by the whole organization (one-person company)! Used to share information with clients and prospective clients, in the form of newsletters, invitations to webinars and other events, and distributing additional resources to clients. Constant Contact handles the details, such as list maintenance, unsubscribes, spam filters, and blacklisting, as well as compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act.
Pros
- Helps with formatting e-mail messages.
- Reporting on results, including delivery rates, open rates, and click rates.
- Option to resend messages to addressees who have not opened the original message.
- Ability to put contacts into multiple categories and select by group.
Cons
- Spacing on finished e-mails is not always WYSIWYG.
- Sometimes difficult to tweak appearance of text.
- Difficult to confirm text color; on multiple occasions, some text has been black, while adjacent paragraphs have been grey, but not obvious until sent to the selected Group.
- Graphic elements are confusing in their placement and sizing.
- Helps to maintain regular contact with existing clients.
- Useful for periodically reaching out to prospective clients.
- Perfect for inviting clients and/or prospects to events.
