Overall Satisfaction with Contractor Foreman

We are a surface finishing contractor. We use CF for its enhanced project management capabilities. From pricing a job and issuing estimates to our operatives on the ground filling in timesheets and submitting inspections of works. We like the fact that we only need one system now and everything raised for a project remains in the project files for ease of looking back on it later. I would recommend anyone to use this program.

Cons

  • Stock Inventory could be better and have a dedicated section to monitor stock
  • Some extra fields should be available on custom reporting
  • Some more details and sections when forming estimates
  • All data stored in one place and not on shared drives or phones or spreadsheets
  • ROI - saves time for operatives on site and moneyfor project management as any reports/pictures/RFIs/invoices etc all are stored within the project
Its easy to use and amend if mistakes are made. Easy to navigate through the pages and find your information. All information specific to projects stored in the project files which makes it easy to find

Estimating through to project is seamless. CF copies all data from the estimate into a schedule of values really well. It would be nice for the estimating phase to have the RFIs section open as at tender stage we do need this functionality. Stock management could be improved to link deliveries and usage on daily logs to an actual inventory
