Overall Satisfaction with CrossBrowserTesting
We used CrossBrowserTesting to ensure that any new pages for our website or emails that we are sending as part of a campaign display properly amongst a wide range of devices/browsers. Since my company was global, our userbase reached the site in many different ways, and it was important that we provided a great experience for everyone.
Pros
- Wide range of devices/browsers available to test.
- Screenshots are taken of test cases that fail.
- The UI is clean and user-friendly.
Cons
- Test case support is somewhat limited in customization ability.
- Not a unique problem to them (or their 'fault'), but content behind VPN or intranet cannot be scanned.
- Pricing with tier level and features can sometimes be confusing (ie. what is and what is not included).
- Many device/browser testing options.
- If a particular test case fails, screenshots are taken so that we can make appropriate fixes.
- The interface is straightforward and easy to learn quickly.
- Reduced customer/visitor frustration from issues with website on their device/browser.
- Keeps the entire team on the same page with respect to what devices/browsers we are testing on.
- Allows us to deliver a higher quality site with less time spent on QA/UAT.
