CrossBrowserTesting was used to test our UIs by running manual, visual, and Selenium Tests in the cloud. We relied on the results of this tool to see the compatibility of our interfaces, especially in mobile screens, and also continuously test with CI/CD integrations.
  • Test Continuously With CI/CD Integrations.
  • Selenium and Appium test automation.
  • Generate multiple screenshots of the same interface from different devices, operating systems, and browsers at once.
  • Run visual comparisons of the same web page on the same browser or mobile device from a previous test session.
  • Show layout differences.
  • Relatively slow.
  • Expensive.
CrossBrowserTesting was implemented to ensure our website's functionality and design and includes testing a range of devices and operating systems being used in the market and customer base.

We used CrossBrowserTesting to ensure that any new pages for our website or emails that we are sending as part of a campaign display properly amongst a wide range of devices/browsers. Since my company was global, our userbase reached the site in many different ways, and it was important that we provided a great experience for everyone.
  • Wide range of devices/browsers available to test.
  • Screenshots are taken of test cases that fail.
  • The UI is clean and user-friendly.
  • Test case support is somewhat limited in customization ability.
  • Not a unique problem to them (or their 'fault'), but content behind VPN or intranet cannot be scanned.
  • Pricing with tier level and features can sometimes be confusing (ie. what is and what is not included).
CrossBrowserTesting is a great tool to use when you have a new page or new content that you want to test on an array of devices/browsers. In the diverse online world nowadays, it is nearly impossible to ensure optimization for every case. CBT allows you to get closer to that goal.

I used this product as part of testing my product on multiple devices, environments. I used it for testing web application and mobile application. Using CrossBrowserTesting tool it was easier to test on multiple (versions of) browser and devices, which was helpful for our business as it was being used by Field Engineers in hospitals.
  • Can test on deal devices , virtually
  • Coverage
  • Ease of use
  • Licensed so secure
  • Live testing option
  • Faster Testing
  • Taking screenshot
  • Screen layouts
  • Some times switching devices/browsers makes usage slower
Well Suited:
1. Real devices (virtually) at single places
2. Coverage
3. Ease of use
4. Live Testing
5. Quickly checking/verification of issue on multiple places in less time

Less Appropriate:
1. Slower while using
2. Screen layout - Landscape , Portrait switch

We use CrossBrowserTesting to do exactly what its name says - cross-browser testing of our website across multiple browsers, versions of browsers, operating systems, screen resolutions, and mobile devices. It allows us to do both regression testing as well as integration smoke tests. We particularly like the ability to do interactive tests for new features.
  • Screenshots
  • Mobile devices
  • Regression tests
  • API automation
  • Integration with GitHub Actions
It's excellent for manual testing, developer validation, and QA servers. We also find it's helpful for reproducing bugs in production, particularly when it's done by a user who has a different operating system. We also use it to quickly spin up interactive desktops to handle potentially harmful customer service requests that might attempt to install malware.

We run every site through CrossBrowerTesting before we launch the site into production. It helps us find UI and layout errors quickly on different browsers. It also helps us track down bugs that our clients are having that we can not test because they are using an older version of a browser or OS. We can pinpoint the exact browser and OS they are using and solve the bug relatively quickly.
  • Find layout errors on web sites quickly
  • Testing multiple browsers at once
  • Helps us determine if a bug is world wide or just a cacheing error
  • There is nothing that I can think of.
A client came saying they are having layout errors on the site but we are not seeing the same thing. After a bit of research, we found that the client was using an older version of a browser. We were able to test on that exact browser the client was having the problem on and see the same problem. Which helped us find a solution to the layout error on the older browser.

CrossBrowserTesting is used solely by me in my department which is Communication/PR. I am a Front-end Developer and I maintain multiple websites for our Nursing school. Testing these sites for mobile and responsiveness overall is not an easy task but I am very grateful there is a product like this to help me.
  • Allows me to test on our development server with ease which is behind a firewall.
  • Using automation for my tests.
  • Screenshots of the problems on each page.
  • Ability to jump between screen sizes quickly.
  • Testing on each mobile device can be very slow to load
  • Does not seem to keep the mobile device list as updated as i would like
  • When comparing their results to my actual phone the results do not match
  • Mobile debugger talk forever to load and is slightly clunky to use
It is very helpful for testing a site for desktop sizes, resolutions, and OS. Mobile results are hit or miss. If you need to test something quickly then you are out of luck.
