Overall Satisfaction with D&B Finance Analytics

I use D&B Finance Analytics and other credit databases as a resource to research a company's financial strength and viability to determine an educated decision on the amount of credit my company can offer to a customer for freight moving. D&B focuses on bankruptcy, a company's financial history, their average days to pay, largest outstanding balance, etc. The website is clear and concise to navigate and simple to understand. I'm impressed with how quickly they update their information when presented with up to date financials. The maximum recommended credit is a favorite feature of mine.

  • Updates information quickly - A company was marked closed despite the owner saying the contrary. Within a week of the Owner reaching out to D&B and updating their financials and information, the business was marked open with recommendations.
Finance Analytics has contributed to an accurate analyzation of an organization and their probability of keeping up to date and paying back their advances. It's also helped to determine if a company's average days to pay line up with our net 21 expectations.
It is easy to navigate and training on the website is minimal. It is fast and can easily be exported into PDF form for quick and easy sharing. It's helped our credit department compare with other databases and come to an educated decision doubled with our coverage policy and risk exceptions.
D&B is more widely used and therefore easily explained and understood with the majority of businesses. Up to date and accurate. Easier to navigate than linkedIn, more information than Clearbit.
I have not had to use contact support and cannot give an overall rating but the accessibility to contact support is simple enough to find.

D&B is a helpful tool when more information is needed for a companies financial history and viability. It's useful for getting accurate, up to date recommendations. I would be sure to consult your insurance or coverage policy within your business/company first and foremost before completely relying on D&B for credit decisions as there can be mistakes and out of date information which I've seen firsthand. Overall, an accurate and easy to use website.
