Overall Satisfaction with D&B Finance Analytics

We have been using this product to review new customers. It gives us insight into the stability and financial standing of individual companies. We use this product as a tool in granting payment terms and credit limits. The alerts for companies that are declining are very helpful. It enables us to watch their payment behavior and modify terms if necessary.

Pros

  • Provides payment history
  • Gives financial outlook for companies

Cons

  • It is often difficult to understand the projections as to why a company may fail
  • The layout for payment history is complicated to decipher
  • It has allowed us to make credit decisions in a day instead of calling trade references and delaying orders. So, it has improved our cash flow.

We had received alerts that a company was on a downward trend and were able to decrease their credit limit to minimize the risk of loss. We had a new customer place a large order and request payment terms and based off the D&B report we were able to extend the credit and it has turned out to be a repeat customer for our company.
