Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Dashlane enables us to save passwords for all our business tools and vendors, and share them with each other as needed. We also use the product for secure notes. The ability to access logins from any device we are logged into is critical. We also use it to store our business credit card info for payments, so we don't need to extend our risk to saved cards on dozens of vendor websites.

Pros and Cons

Cons

It could do a better job of filling in data on mobile. I have a Google Pixel 6 phone, and occasionally it will stop functioning, requiring me to access the app and manually copy/paste login information into the browser. Usually, this comes back by restarting the phone.

Return on Investment

It's challenging to measure ROI specifically, but the time saved by easily accessing passwords likely amounts to several hours per month.
Definitely more secure than other options particularly browser tools.

Usability

We've used a couple of other tools, and while most are pretty good, we like Dashlane for its organization, ease of saving new credentials, and cross-platform access to all saved data.

LastPass for Business, Keeper, 1Password and KeePass

Dashlane was the most complete product. We have moved to Keeper, though, for client management; we wish Dashlane had similar functionality.

Likelihood to Recommend

We like the product for internal use, but for our client base, we need something that can be managed by the MSP, in this case, us. We really appreciated having the availability of a free version for home use, but we are disappointed that this option has been discontinued. Since we have the business product, purchasing a family plan ends up creating duplicity.
