Overall Satisfaction with Dashlane Password Manager
We use it to store passwords, share with other employees, and store confidential information like payments and account numbers or security codes. We no longer have to ask each other for passwords for portals where multiple people need access. It has made tracking down logins easier when someone has left as well.
Pros
- Keeps passwords organized
- Almost too secure
Cons
- When an employee leaves, if they failed to share a password or did not share Full Rights, it's extremely difficult. We have to reset a password and are unable to delete the Limited Rights one they shared so we have to add "Old" or "Do Not Use"
- It would be great if you could choose who to receive company passwords when deactivating a user like other programs. If they're company passwords, we should technically own them and not be prohibited from accessing them.
- Original users did not have to set up 2FA so even when resetting their password to Dashlane to access the passwords they didn't share with Full Rights, Dashlane says those passwords will be deleted.
- It has definitely made it easier with so many password security requirements and not having to recall them. People used to have them on Post-its.
- We definitely feel secure since even we have a hard time accessing company passwords!
Our IT person said it was the best for our size of business and security needs.
