Overall Satisfaction with Datto
We are using the Datto Siris and Datto NAS in our office and we sell all the Datto line to our clients. Datto is our Business Continuity Solution. The biggest reason we have stayed with Datto is because it just works. We have had to run off of a server virtualized on our Datto Siris for more than a month due to parts issues with one of our servers and the Datto performed just as if it was the server and continued to perform backups hourly.
- Server Virtualization! Datto is fast in virtualizing your servers it is backing up. We have had clients up in 12 minutes after a dual hard drive failure.
- Support is usually fast. We don't have to call support often but when we do they have been easy to contact with little wait time.
- Alerting! The Datto sends alerts to our PSA. The ticket creation is very important to us and the Datto works very well with our PSA.
- The only con is the price. I would like to see better margins for reselling the product. We include managing the Datto in our monthly and though we don't have a lot of issues with the Dattos, we do have a dedicated engineer that monitors them so we have a lot invested in offering the Datto line. Otherwise, there is no other con!
- Everything with Datto has been positive. We now have a real Business Continuity Solution that we can stand behind and know that when that emergency happens we will be the hero's when we get the client back up and running in less than 15 minutes from a fatal crash.
- Our clients have trusted us for 16 years and with the Datto products in our portfolio we know we won't let our clients down when it comes to safe guarding their data.
- Datto Drive is the perfect alternative to Drop Box and mainly for security reasons. We trust Datto, Drop Box not so much!
The product we tired in the past are either out of business or that product line failed. We have used custom BDR solution purchased from a vendor and found that while it worked you were never sure if the restore would work. We did not want to cobble together a solutions and the Datto has more support behind their products than we every could on a home grown system.
