Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
We use Dayforce primarily in the payroll and HR department for payroll processing, Hr data tracking, time and attendance, recruiting, etc..
Our employees use Dayforce to request time off, view their pay statements, T4’s and benefits.
Our health and safety team can view safety and health incidents that occur at work so the tracking and information sharing is easy.
Our internal auditor uses Dayforce to view payroll transactions to ensure our processes are accurate.
Mangement for scheduling and time away requests such as sick time, vacation and other days off.

Recruitment and job postings
- Payroll processing - it is extremely easy and user friendly to process semi monthly payroll.
- Time & Attendance tracking - we have been able to gather much stronger data for our reporting - such as sick time and other absences that we were not able to easily track in the past. This has allowed our management team to see a clearer picture of time that employees actually take away from work.
- Benefits - this module has been a huge time saver - it was set up so that I can change the benefit rates in one place - run a recalc and the benefits are changed for each payroll - this has saved hours of data entry and is much more accurate.
- HR record keeping - Dayforce allows us the opportunity to track an employee HR record in one place rather than in multiple places (such as multiple electronic or paper documents).
- Scheduling - while this functionality is great and easy to use - it's the reporting or final product - many of my managers would love the ability to sort the printed schedule differently - see different views rather than it only being one way.
- Reporting - there are many pre-set reports in Dayforce, however, the ability to change one field would be great. Or having the report building functionality a little more user friendly or easier to understand.
- We have already seen a huge time savings in benefit administration and data entry - this would normally take 2 to 3 weeks twice a year to complete (benefit and salary rate changes) and 4 hours each month for data entry, now takes about 1 hour once a year (to update rates) and 1 minute each month to run a recalculation
- Time & Attendance tracking and reporting - we are now able to provide all employees & managers a snapshot (Attendance calendar) each year - this was done as a manual process in the past and was never accurate. This provides management the ability to have the crucial conversations about the absences
- Payroll processing and data entry time has been reduced by 50% - freeing up about 1 week of time each month for the payroll administrator to focus on other tasks
This has been huge - this is an amazing feature - as we know right away if something is not right and can address it immediately rather than running the batch and waiting for the preview to come through.
Dayforce automatically calculates the overtime pay and will highlight this for managers right away while they are preparing the scheduling which is great - rather than after the schedule has been posted and either the overtime is paid out or another employee brings this to the managers attention.
Being able to see and pull up past and future schedules has saved us from having to recreate and reinvent each time there are stat holidays and seeing who may have worked and who was off has allowed the organization the clarity to see and schedule appropriately. It also helps avoid overtime issues as well as on call rotations that are fair.
The time savings - having everything in one single application is huge for us. The fact that we can be anywhere and log in to the system (and not have to log into multiple systems or have to be physically in the office) has been a huge postive for us.

No - I don’t feel we need to rely on support that often
I logged a ticket today with a medium response/problem, meaning it wasn’t something that I needed immediate response with or something that impacted my immediate processing. I had a call back with a resolution within 15 minutes, it was great!

Relationship with Ceridian
Dayforce has grown and advanced so much over the last few years. This product can essentially be my one stop go to for all my job duties, I just need to convince management!
The compensation, performance management, learning, on boarding and so much more has advanced so much over the last year alone. The ultimate ability to have all updates and changes from a performance review to compensation evaluation to tracking and employees learning to having it all roll into payroll and calculate without all the spreadsheets and data entry is a dream come true.

The fact that our company was with Ceridian for so many years, there was a relationship there.
Be honest in your needs from the start
