Overall Satisfaction with Demandbase One

We use Demandbase to get insights on how our customers use Datadog, number of users, sessions, features used etc - to better understand the customer usage and maturity so we can better assist them.

We also use Demandbase to analyse the prospecting activity: all engagement moments, heat maps, even identified profiles who navigate on our website, so we can have a more targeted prospecting approach

Pros

  • It is easy to visualise data, with point and clic filters
  • Demandbase mixes public data (website navigation) and inside data (emails sent) to draw an engagement level with the accounts
  • it is easy to build your own dashboard

Cons

  • sometimes the load time is a bit long
  • it is impossible (to my knowledge) to see aggregated data from several orgIDs based on the fact that they are all linked to one single parent account
  • ergonomy could be improved: when changing a filter, I expect that the dashboard will update automatically, instead of having to clic on "update filters"
  • No quantified ROI has been build by my team (sales)
  • insight for better impact during customer meetings, which helps improve conversion rate in time
  • Better meeting conversion ratio thanks to the intelligence
I like using Demandbase, I am happy that
I wish I had more time to exploit it even more as currently I only use the out of the box dashboards provided by my employer. Even if they are very useful, I believe I could do a better use of the solution

It is well suited to visualise data on already build dashboards, where you only add the orgID and the data updates.

It is a bit less suited for prospecting completely green field accounts:
When the sales prospects (outbound), all activities are registered as engagement moments. This could be misleading, as the sales could believe that there was inbound engagement from the customer' side. Outband and inbound activities are not clearly distinguished when looking at the account
