Overall Satisfaction with DemandScience Activate (formerly PureB2B)

We used the intent product through PureB2B and we're trying to bring in more leads for our sales team. This was the first time we were trying intent and we were told that the quality of leads would be better than traditional MQLs. The leads were nurtured, scored, and passed on to our BDR team.
  • CSV file was organized and ready to upload after minimal edits (internal template)
  • Leads that did not meet our ICP were replaced without hassle
  • Account rep worked to make sure we were happy with leads
  • We did not get the best results from calling the leads - all of them had acted like they never viewed our content
  • The phone numbers didn't always work
  • Initial set up took longer than expected
  • Capturing our ICP
  • Delivering the volume of leads requested
  • Providing quality leads
  • We have zero deals created from any of the PureB2B leads
  • We tracked only 4 meetings 300+ leads
  • No ROI has been materialized
Our rep was very reactive and would get back to us extremely quickly. I truly believed he wanted the campaign to succeed and did everything that was in his ability to get us there. He was also very pleasant to work with and very professional. I would say if the product had lived up to expectations, then it would be a 10.
As previously mentioned, the experience was not that good. We really worked hard to develop a high touchpoint nurturing campaign that had proved successful with other types of leads. The campaign showed really low open rates for the emails and low click rates. When the sales team would call, the leads would swear they had never downloaded any of our content pieces and did not know why they were getting out emails or getting called.
We had done a lot of research and had been speaking to several companies about the intent pilot that we wanted to run. PureB2B had a great presentation and we liked some of the reviews we had seen. We had high hopes that it would work and customer support was important to us.

If we were looking for just an ICP list - then PureB2B would have been great. We believed that these leads would engage with our emails at a higher rate and that the engagement would lead to more meetings for our salespeople. That did not happen as a result of our intent pilot.
