Only minor things like mentioned easier way to change PTO in day. Example someone puts in for 2 hrs for appt, they arrive back earlier than anticipated. It does not allow them to clock back in until the 2 hour period is up or we have to go in and disapprove the original PTO, change it to the lesser time, then approve it, then let them clock in.
Deputy was scary at first, but it was much easier once implementation began.
Prior to Deputy, we had manual time cards and a punch clock. Each week we had to physically add them up and scan them into our corp office. Deputy trimmed this down by 75% at least. It now takes me 5-10 minutes instead of 30-45 minutes. PTO requests were handwritten notes, which of course would get misplaced or tossed on occasion. This is eliminated now with everything done electronically. This process has taken all guesswork and errors basically out of the realm. Scheduling was the biggest for me as I am the one who does this weekly. I would have to sit down for a couple of hours every week and pencil in a schedule, erase, move people, erase, it was just a headache. Deputy is a life-saver. I use the autoload for shifts, then just drag and drop people. It cut so much time and stress off of me. Along with scheduling, the manual schedule posted on a wall is gone! They have it on their phone so this eliminated the “I didn’t see it posted” excuse.
3 - The management team uses this daily. The store manager uses many times during the day for schedule changes, PTO requests, etc.
1 - Primarily the store manager is required to support Deputy. He is responsible for updates, changes, Deputy use, assigning work codes, etc.
- Did not expect it to deduct PTO hours on approvals. Nice touch.
- Like the communication and option to have confirmations.
- Possibly expanding to other facilities. Currently they use time cards but this is pilot operations.

We did not. We wanted to see how the system worked and did not want added cost initially.
I really have not run into any major issue. I contacted the sales rep for me a time or 2 while installing but those were minor issues. It has been awesome.
