The best communication tool for all businesses
Overall Satisfaction with Discord
Since lockdown in the UK we implemented Discord to give us a fast and effective way to communicate between teams and groups. Discord allows us to jump straight into voice chats in meeting rooms and share content. Perfect for fast efficient design meetings. As we are all working remotely it was the ideal tool to bring us together, and while we are now can visit our office we still utilise it for some remote workers.
Pros
- Streaming Live Desktops to share content
- Individual Groups for Different Parts of the company
- Voice Chats
- Seperate Meeting rooms
Cons
- Ability to keep yourself online without the app timing you out, this can't be changed
- Auto Unmuting
- Integration with other services and applications
- In the current climate, this has had huge success in delivering business objectives as it has been our main communication tool internally.
- Negative Impacts we have had is that it has proved to be an efficient communication tool, negating the use of office space.
- Has brought our teams closer together with remote workers.
Not sure why we selected Discord, but I have found it a lot easier to use than the likes of Hangouts, or Teams. It's very intuitive and very good for off-the-cuff meetings or discussions. The ability to have a discussion quickly without the need for invites or starting meetings makes it pretty impressive and easy against the competition.
