Overall Satisfaction with Discord

Discord is used within the IT team. It is used to help us stay in contact. There are a few other messaging apps that we use (Teams, Slack) but Discord feels very comfortable and familiar. The ease of use that Discord provides is great. It is also very nice to have during the pandemic because it is an easy way to keep in touch with your friends and family.

  • Random call quality drops
  • Access to more emotes without paying
  • More color schemes
  • Great for keeping in contact with your peers.
  • Adding friends could be a little confusing.
  • Has made it easy to video call someone really quickly.
Discord is basically the version of Skype that you've always wanted. It makes it easy for you to chat with your friends, video call them, and make conference calls. It's a MUCH quicker system and does not seem to have such an impact on my hardware as well. Discord is doing things right when it comes to a chat system.
I would give it a 10 rating because it absolutely deserves it. Discord has made things like keeping in touch extremely easy for people. Anywhere from gamers, businessmen and even family calls are all a part of this fantastic application. The ease of access of being able to jump in a room with your friends and talk to them is amazing.

Discord may a little less professional when it comes to a professional setting, but everything else about it is just so easily accessible that I would not mind using it in a professional setting. Discord is just extremely easy to use. It has made pandemic a lot less stressful because i do not have to scramble to find ways to talk to friends. Being able to jump in and out of a call is an amazing feature.
