AI Capabilities

I have found them underwhelming. They surface inaccuracies, draw incorrect conclusions and have had so much time and money invested in them that Dovetail have neglected their analysis interface

Team Engagement

Ease of access to reels/insights for stakeholders to see first hand examples of user painpoints.

As a researcher I struggle with this a lot. the table doesn't have a scroll bar, the tag board takes up a tiny part of your screen, if you try to delete a tag from a transcript it deletes the tag from the entire board. It's a mess. Too much money spent on AI features, not enough on basic UX

If you're a designer and are only dabbling in research, Dovetail will suit. For a researcher looking for rigour, in my opinion, there are better tools
