Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

I use DraftSight for architectural projects. I really like this product and use it every day at work. I never had problems. I have been using it for years, since it was free, and I continue to use it even now that it is paid. I recommend it to everybody.

overall my favorite since it was free. The interface is friendly and highly customizable, you can find a lot of resources on youtube because it is a widely used software, it has never betrayed me by crashing (and I have been using it for many years). I have no intention of changing it.

I use it in architectural design--both for the design phase and for the compilation of all official documents that I have to send to the public administration to obtain building permits. Its very simple interface allows me to work quickly without wasting time. Its compatibility with other CADs allows me to interface with other users who use other programs.

Using DraftSight

1 - architect who uses cad for building projects of new constructions and renovations, surface measurements and other surveys carried out on construction sites, realization of structural projects in reinforced concrete, wood, steel, realization of interior and exterior furniture projects, design of works of landscape and garden architecture, design of design objects, creation of photomontages
1 - The person who uses draftsight is an architect graduated from the University of Florence (Italy). The skills for doing architectural design are obtained only through a degree program. The skills to use the software are the same as those needed to use Autodesk autocad, a tool widely used in Italian universities and on which students are trained in the competence of computer-assisted design.

I have been using this software for many years and for the moment I have no intention of changing it. I am satisfied even if I hope that the software continues to develop but maintaining the excellent value for money that distinguishes it. I hope that in the future the base license includes installation on two different devices instead of one. This would be really good for someone like me who has a pc in the office and another laptop.

As explained above I have been using this software for many years and for the moment I have no intention of changing it. I don't think it will happen anytime soon but if I had to do it again, I would not change my evaluation and selection process. The things I want to find in a CAD software are always the same, both from the technical point of view and the relationship between
product quality and price.

DraftSight Implementation

To answer I have to repeat myself. As already mentioned, I do not perform any product implementations and there are no organizational changes in my organization. Mine is a small architectural firm where I work as a single freelancer, not a structure with organizational or functional levels to manage. This is the size of my business and I have absolutely no intention of changing it.

DraftSight Support

I rate it very well because above all I have needed it very few times in many years of using the product. My thinking is that the best technical support service possible is the one you don't need to call it because the product doesn't cause any problems. However, the few times I called them they always solved the problem.

I did not join and purchase the premium support because I have needed it very few times in many years of using the product. My thought is that the best possible tech support service is the one you don't need to call it because the product doesn't cause any problems.
Once I was unable to activate the software I just downloaded because it signaled me that a software with the same serial number was already installed in the PC. I couldn't find it to uninstall it. I called support via email and they solved them directly from their terminals without me doing anything.

Using DraftSight

You cannot ask for more from the usability of this software. You open it for the first time and you already know how to use it, you find all the commands you usually use at your fingertips, with maximum compatibility with any other cad software, you always have the most updated dwg formats without having to ask whoever sends you the file to send them to you in past versions like the R14.
