Loving Dropbox for our Firm!
Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
We currently use Dropbox at our firm to store our electronic case/client files. We use both the online and computer app version. We store pleadings, discovery, billing reports, admin stuff, forms and templates in Dropbox. It helps address the issue of online storage that will have the amount of space to save things. It allows us to easily share links to file folders when we need to share things with clients or opposing counsel and when we need to electronically serve things to parties. It also makes it convenient for clients to share things with us also by storing their files on our end when they provide that type of access.
Pros
- Very user friendly
- Accessibility between the online and computer app.
- The ability to create and organize case files
Cons
- We've had one issue where a file went missing and we couldn't locate it. So maybe better file recovery.
- The ability to color code files
- It just makes it really easy for us to share files with clients and other parties. I can easily create a link that will either allow for others to view or edit.
- We find that many of our client's already use Dropbox.
- It's a centralized program I and my boss has access to no matter where we are (i.e work, home, traveling)
