Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
We use Dropbox as a company for product updates! An email triggers every time there is an update which is super helpful. I am also part of another vendor. I think it's an easy platform to use, but sometimes things get confusing with the folder layouts on the side of the screen. However, this is not a deal breaker by any means.
Pros
- Provides info on how to use new updates/upgrades to the platform
- Easy to upload files or folders
- Great storage potential for any need
Cons
- The side panel can be a bit confusing because of the multiple folders. I am pretty tech savy but have somehow found myself in the wrong folder trying to find things before
- Make each Dropbox you are part of more obvious or once you click into a Dropbox, take away the other Dropboxes you're part of to alleviate confusion on the side panel
- Change folder colors for each Dropbox
- It keeps everyone in sync and updated when changes are made to a document
- It's helpful for sharing things with vendors.
I prefer Google Drive over Dropbox because the interface just seems simpler to me. It's easier to identify shared folders you're part of. Every folder has a different image so it's helpful in differentiating where you are in the platform. Especially when you have a lot of file. Dropbox uses the same color for all shared Dropboxes or drives and sometimes it confuses me.
