Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox for Business

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it as a central server for all team members and clients. All our projects are stored on Dropbox and accessed on a daily basis for all project work. Our Dropbox space is separated into a section for all and a management only section. This allows us to use one technology platform for all files.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Sharing files.
Allowing online and offline access.
Managing access control.

Cons

File history does not work very well which is a great shame.
Some conflicts with online and offline access by different people are not managed very well.
Folders are being duplicated sometimes which is massively inconvenient.

Return on Investment

Smooth file sharing.
Increased file safety.
Great ROI, could not live without it.

Alternatives Considered

Google Drive

Also very helpful and with a much better version control, accordingly no file conflicts. Unhelpful in respect to large file being easily accessible as they are not offline. Although this apparently has changed now.

Likelihood to Recommend

With teams being spread around the globe it is essential to have shared resources like Dropbox to have access to the same information. Also working in the design and branding space we have very large files which cannot be stored in the cloud only otherwise access takes way too long each time we download a file. This is where Dropbox excels.
