Overall Satisfaction with Druva Data Resiliency Cloud
We use Druva Data Resiliency Cloud to protect Hybrid and Native workloads (VMware on-prem and AWS). We also use InSync to protect Office365. With InSync, we are able to easily backup Email, Sharepoint/Teams, and OneDrive.
Pros
- We no longer manage offsite storage vendors
- We no longer sore or manage magnetic tape
- We no longer have a dedicated server running legacy backup software and tape robots.
Cons
- The "credit" system can be confusing.
- It can be expensive if you don't closely monitor hybrid backups and AWS storage costs.
- Administrative experience has room to grow, moving between Hybrid and Native requires additional authentication and MFA solutions.
- File restores are quick and simple.
- Cost savings have not been realized as storage costs have grown
- The support team at Druva is nothing short of fantastic.
- Veeam Backup & Replication
We didn't want to run a dedicated server and storage which led us to meet with Druva. Once we met the account team and supporting engineers we were won over with their professionalism and willingness to see any issue to resolution.

Evaluating Druva Data Resiliency Cloud and Competitors
Yes - Verizon eCloud. This was our first cloud-native application for backup and recovery, and it was not easy to use. It was included with our cloud hosting, but we moved from this provider and were happy to find something else.
- Cloud Solutions
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
The most important thing for us was the ability of not hosting storage systems or tapes on site.
It would be nice to have implemented many of the solutions we currently employ from Druva all at once, from the start. Initially we started with Phoenix and slow walked their other solutions to current implementation. Having all the solutions in place would have meant more data available, for restore, from applications such as Teams and Sharepoint.
Druva Data Resiliency Cloud Implementation
- Implemented in-house
Change management was minimal - We had no issues with change management regarding implementation.
- making sure engineers were 100% engaged during onboarding calls
Druva Data Resiliency Cloud Training
Configuring Druva Data Resiliency Cloud
Always monitor jobs and test data restores, for each workload. The solution can be "set and forget" as its very reliable. This can condition the engineer to assume things are fine. They probably are but set a routine to trust but verify.
No - we have not done any customization to the interface
No - we have not done any custom code
Druva Data Resiliency Cloud Support

Quick Resolution Good followup Knowledgeable team Problems get solved Kept well informed No escalation required Immediate help available Support understands my problem Support cares about my success Quick Initial Response | None |
Support was included
I purchased Professional Support hours to help implement a new Druva DR product, about 10 hours. The engineer and I began meeting several times a week and this went on for a long time. Never was there an issue with "we are out of time/hours", the Engineer made nearly unlimited time available and was(Still IS) fantastic to work with.
