Overall Satisfaction with e-automate
I am not necessarily one of the heaviest users of e-automate in my organization but I
do use it pretty regularly for sales orders, generating service calls,
and answering contract or inventory questions. As a company we use it
for much more including invoicing, other accounting modules and reports.

Pros
- The only thing particularly positive I can say is the database linking between the different modules seems to be good
Cons
- We used to be able to self host which was better than the current RDP to an instance setup. Why not rewrite as a true Web application if you want the ECI hosted infrastructure and recurring revenue
- My main point in filling out this survey is to mention the extremely buggy nature of the software. I'm sure I won't be able to remember all or even most of the weird behavior I've seen but some examples that I see often: Copying a sales order the Department sometimes copies and sometimes does not, the Items list sometimes copies correctly sometimes has more or less items than the source sales order. If you have to change a quantity on a sales order the steps needed to do that are not consistent from one time to the next. If you want to remove an item from a sales order sometime the button says 'Cancel' and sometimes says 'Delete'. There are many other instances where the behavior changes from instance to instance.
- It seems fine for inventory management and invoicing

I do like the way you can look at the history of not only contracts but equipment as well.
This would be a question for management.
We are using the 'cloud' now. I see no benefit to the cloud and preferred the on-prem version.
