Overall Satisfaction with Elementor

We had launched an entire 80 page blog using studiopress and a combination of another 12 plugins. However, we had no internal competencies in using the associated advanced version of genesis blocks. The initial template we had chosen was more aligned with genesis blocks. However, for phase 1 launch, most the requirements had been met without genesiss blocks - until - a specific requirement came in: Many of the product pages needed a tabular format and the associated plugins for tabular display were not rendering as desired. This stalled the entire project and we sought technical consultations and Elementor came to rescue. The front end is very intuitive , learning curves much less complex and the output is completely mobile responsive!

Pros

  • Easy to use front end and thus reduced learning curves
  • Does not require very design competencies for minor operations/info. updates
  • Definitely mobile responsive and friendly
  • Integrates very well with wordpress including studiopress (Genesis wordpress)

Cons

  • Could definitely use an AI bot for ad-hoc customer queries
  • Very limited Wdgets available in free version - If you have complex pages, go pro
  • Ensure robust internet speed (50 MBPS bare minimum) to be able to operate it. Below 8 GB RAM is not advised
  • The free version itself de-bottlenecked an entire 3 month long project
  • The "Advanced Solo" plan is definitely value for money and worth the trial consideration
1. Very intuitive user interface with very well organized options for basic and advanced design features 2. Integrates very well with wordpress and a variety of plugins 3. Vast collection of Elementor themes available in the market for the small to mid sized businesses who would still prefer desired internal control over tactical/relatively less complex website changes and thus reduce dependency /Expensive annual web design contracts
We initially chose WYSIWUG web builder as the key platform for all website development projects. While we still rate the product almost an 8.5/10, we found much better SEO (Search engine optimization) outcomes through wordpress and accordingly migrated to the same. Going forward we upskilled to genesis wordpress but faced challenges and found the combination of genesis with Elementor to the optimal mix for current phase of usage. This decision was also very influenced by a seasoned digital marketer

Do you think Elementor delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Elementor's feature set?

Yes

Did Elementor live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Elementor go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Elementor again?

Yes

The user interface is so intuitive that a devoted fresher with prior web design training and creative, right brain skills could easily come up to speed and deploy long form sales pages and similar complex webpages. However, it is not recommended for someone who has no web design creativity/inclination and the manager will be better off (A) delegating the initial design to an expert and (B) training internal staff on tactical updates. The tool is quite powerful, overall

Evaluating Elementor and Competitors

  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
Excellent integration with studiopress was the key and instant reason for choosing Elementor. We initially used it as a "patchwork" software to get our increasingly and technically complex project off the ground. However, increased use cases brought home the fact that Elementor templates were directly usable for paid media campaigns as well
In retrospect, I can say that we got "lucky" to find an instant and "Free" fix. The key strategic pivot would have been to change the wordpress template itself or use a lighter/less complex version. Furthermore, the project also brought home the important of focusing more on sharper, paid media for product launches as a primary thrust - and Elementor is an excellent landing page (LP) tool here.

Elementor Implementation

The business team has to stick to its core competencies - Our key turning point occured when we delegated webpage design challenges to a tech. firm with specific mandates (including a certain degree of internal control). Once the initial go-live was completed, the agency trained us on internalizing ad-hoc and tactical change work
  • Implemented in-house
  • Third-party professional services
We researched for experts and firms extensively on platforms like upwork, submitted the project specifics, shortlisted and connected with 10 prospective service provider and finalized 1 who met all key criteria. However for large-scale projects with complex technical features (Especially e-commerce), we recommend visiting Elementor forums and also locating service providers they advocate
Change management was minimal - 1. when it comes to integrating a new computer software, regardless of its user-friendliness, it is crucial to account for possible trippages and also have experts on standby 2. Be patient with your internal team that is adapting to it
  • Initial mobile rendering was not optimal; however the culprit was the plugin and not Elementor
  • Internal users needed structured training on tasks they could and could not delve into, in phase 1
