Overall Satisfaction with Encompass from Ellie Mae
Encompass is being used across our entire organization to consolidate information from several different vendors.
Pros
- Delivers supported integrations from top tier providers
- Embeds what would be separate technology and platforms in a single application
- Large market share in the LOS space means increased opportunity for previous experience with the platform
Cons
- Code re-use for advanced code
- Streamline custom document creation in the document engine would be advantageous
- A suggested roadmap for new user learning that is easier to get to
- Automated compliance checks at key milestones helps cut down on problems with the [loan] when sold or serviced
- Supported service integrations with top-tier vendors are great. A potential drawback to integration on a large scale can be your specific institution may get exactly what you want from the vendor.
- Without a well defined training program or support mechanism for use of the software, your users will struggle to adopt (as with any new application).
