Overall Satisfaction with Encompass from Ellie Mae
This is being used by virtually all business units in my organization to facilitate the loan process from inception through closing.
- Encompass from Ellie Mae is on top of compliance changes.
- Ellie Mae provides great support for vendor integration.
- Ellie Mae allows for extensive customization via their SDK/API
- The smart client is kind of a dated model for app dev but Ellie Mae is transitioning to web
- No mobile app
- Smartclient is slow
- We don't have to hire a compliance team to stay abreast of document revisions.
- We are able to build whatever we want using Encompass from Elle Mae as the database of record and avoid being subject to data retention regs.
- Our finance team uses our Encompass data warehouse (that we build on Encompass SDK) instead of an expensive third-party BI suite.
- BlackKnight, MortgageBot, CalyxPoint and LendingQB
There are a few other LOS options but most are simple POS systems rather than an all-inclusive loan system. Competitors include: BlackKnight, LendingQB, CalyxPoint and MortgageBot LOS.
