Overall Satisfaction with Epicor Eclipse

We use Eclipse for all aspects of the business. Sales, accounting, and warehousing. It is nice to have a solution, when paired with some external sources, that covers all aspects of the business within a single system. It would be great to see the WMS side become more robust. There are limitations within that part that don't allow for ease of use in a distribution center.

Pros

  • Sales orders.
  • PO searches.
  • Lots of queues for tracking specific items.
  • All the forensics that are available.

Cons

  • Need more robust WMS.
  • Carton packing is not fully integrated.
  • Better reporting tools.
  • Positive with the cloud move.
  • Time saving with 1 platform.
  • Negative on the fair WMS.
Most things are there, just need to learn how to find them. Once you know how to dig into something, you can typically find what you are looking for. The report is not great, thankfully, there is the option to add EDA on. EDA is a great tool for reporting and data collection.

The capabilities, when combined with some of the integration offerings, make for a really nice platform. Coming from another company where we had several systems for processing inbound, outbound, e-commerce, sales, etc., it is nice to have everything contained in one system. makes communication within the company easier and teaching easier.
