Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use eTapestry for our small nonprofit in order to keep track of donors. We use it to pull reports, understand giving trends, and plan new fundraising campaigns. We primarily use it for analytics, and we could be doing more with it. It's help us understand historical giving levels and identify where we may have opportunities to grow donors.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Premade reports make it easy to pull data and create lists
Customer support is responsive and helpful
Good integration options for sending emails, online donations, etc.

Cons

Can be overwhelming for people who aren't tech savvy
Set up took longer than anticipated (importing data)
May take users some time to acclimate to the user environment (it's not 100% intuitive) because of its complexity

Return on Investment

Donor reporting has become easier and more accurate
We have more access to data and can make better decisions
We have better visibility in to who our most important donors are

Alternatives Considered

We didn't actively compare any other competitors.

Likelihood to Renew

We are currently evaluating the need. It's possible our organization is still small enough that we don't need all of the power that eTapestry offers, so we may seek a smaller, more cost-effective solution for our size.

Likelihood to Recommend

It's good for organizations that are managing a few thousand donors or more. We may be on the slightly small end of organizations that use this platform. It's great because it's in the cloud/online, and we have board members in multiple locations who can get in and use the data. Organizations should ask a lot of questions to determine if this product is right for them.
