Overall Satisfaction with eTapestry

eTapestry was used to track active, inactive, and prospective donors for a small nonprofit organization. The program was used by the development manager to track both corporate and individual donors.
  • Keeps detailed accounts of all donors, including contact information, donations made, etc.
  • Allows the user to manage multiple fundraising programs, campaigns, and events.
  • Provides the user with multiple reporting options.
  • Allows user to export information easily.
  • While the program provides a great chat feature for help, there could be more user friendly tutorials and access to training.
  • Chat wait times could be long.
  • The correspondence feature (for writing to donors) was difficult to use and not usable or easily formatted if you were printing letters on a letterhead.
  • Increased employee efficiency
  • Better accuracy and reporting
  • Better customer service and knowledge of your donor base
  • The Raiser's Edge
eTapestry was better suited for the smaller organization (300 donors and 7 employees) I worked for at the time.
I work for a larger organization now that uses The Raiser's Edge and do not have a use for eTapestry at this time.
I think it is well suited for a small organization. It would not be appropriate for an organization with thousands of donors. I also think in-person or webinar-like training needs to be recommended.
