Overall Satisfaction

  • Allows me to track a lot of free form information.
  • Provides a place to store e-mail for later reference in an indexed system searchable and available from my PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Nexus 4.
  • Great for project planning that requires backup material, task, etc. and not a full project management app.
  • Search could definitely be better. There is no Boolean search which is a limitation for a product of this kind.
  • Due dates on notes would be great but I understand it's out of Evernote's core and dips the toe in task management.
  • I worry less about formatting and more about content due to Evernote's limited formatting. It makes me focus on writing rather than formatted readability.
  • I can work from almost anywhere using any of my various devices.
I cannot see not using Evernote for the foreseeable future.
Adoption takes a lot of effort and behavior change. It's a bit different for each individual. A strength is it's malleability but than can serve as a detractor for those looking for a cookie cutter solution. Try a combination of Getting Things Done and The Secret Weapon methodologies and see your stress level drop and productivity increase.
